After watching the Grammy awards, do you concur that rock music is in trouble?
My god, is the Foo Fighters the best we have for rock album of the year?
I hope that youth of today starts practicing classic style rock and help bring it back. People including teens today love much of the classic rock bands. I just don’t understand why there are no more Slash’s or John Bonhams out there.
It has been in trouble for many years now. You can thank corporate radio and the mass commercialization of music for that.
BTW, I don’t know if you are into Slayer, but they did win “Best Metal Performance”

Which is the biggest, most valued and most watched Music awards event?
Is it the MTV Video Music Awards, The Grammy’s, The American Music Awards, The Billboard Music Awards, The Vibe Awards, The Source Awards or People’s Choice Awards? I’m confused. I thought the Grammy’s were the ultimate Grand-daddy award, but there are clearly other awards of equal, if not more, significance. What do musicians value the most?
the Grammy’s is still the Biggest. The other award shows are great, but the Grammy’s is the original. I believe musicians still value the Grammy over any other award. Although the awards are nice on the mantle.
