When the Rolling Stones won a major award, didn’t Mick Jagger openly disparage it?

I think it was the Rolling Stones’ Lifetime Achievement Grammy or their induction into the Rock N’ Roll Hall of Fame. I’d heard that during the acceptance Jagger said something like, “We’re not dead yet.” I’d like to know the exact quote and the occasion. Thanks.

oh yeah…that was the grammy token award that was given to mick and the guys back in ‘86 or ‘87…the stones had never been nominated for any major grammies and all of’ em were surly when eric clapton presented the award to them…

one of those ‘classic’ grammy moments!!!…

by contrast…they had a blast when they were inducted into the rock and roll hall of fame…
